I’m a gadget girl for sure.  And my boys are too.  There is a lot of technology in our house.  We’re an active family too.  But I must say, ever since I started training for my 5K this year did the exercise bug get contagious around my house.  I followed the Couch to 5K program to get ready for Gabes Run where I was going to be

The title of this post is a personal joke I have with my college roommate.  I chuckle every time I think of it and I smile too because I know she is doing the same.  Have you ever had a belief about something that is mainstream and you are just not willing to agree with it or give it a try?  Sometimes we get stuck in our ways.  We never

Ask for Help. I wanted to talk about this tonight.  I think it is important to remind ourselves that we are not in this alone. When losing or maintaining weight, we don’t have to do this alone.  And we shouldn’t. Just wanted to quickly share something I noticed today.  It’s a habit I’ve picked up.  I was quite delighted about it.  Typically when we notice habits they are ones we want to get rid of.  When I realized I was doing this I thought “I need to share this idea.”    I was hustling about my kitchen making breakfasts and packing lunches.  As I packed the lunches I used my regular routine.  Then I noticed it.

iphone apps iPhone GirlHad lunch with a friend last night.  It was great to catch up.  She has a new iPhone!!!  Nothing makes me more excited then talking with someone about their iPhone.  I know I am a techie!  Although we caught up on lots of other things we also talked about my favorite iPhone apps.  I finally decided to document the apps I like the most.  I can’t tell you how many times people have asked me which apps they should get.

I decided to make a list of those apps I love and use regularly.   I’ve added links to the iTunes page so you can easily get….

Just a quick update today since it is late.  It has been back to school for us this week.  Getting back into the school year routine is always a bit exhausting. Lots of excitement.  I want to share with you the outcome of the weekend.  I  was SUCCESSFUL in my battle against the Weekend Fat Girl.  I was down one pound from last week and so I feel victorious over my tendency to get cocky and indulge on the weekend. So today I am 195.2 down from 204 where I started in July in my efforts to loose my regain.
