One of the most common questions I receive is “Did you ever have issues with Dumping? And do you still?”  Dumping syndrome is a side effort of gastric bypass weight loss surgery.  Some think it is a benefit of the surgery.  Some choose not to have gastric bypass because they know it is a

On vacation. And not only on vacation but vacation with a food plan that offers three courses at each meal. That’s glutinous for a weight loss surgery patient. I’m tired of all the food. I’m ready to get back to my go to food like my chocolate banana smoothie and my salsa chicken when I get home. I have to say I’ve done well and would recommend the Disney Meal Plan because you have easy access to good protein choices like eggs, salmon, fillet. Without a meal plan you’d be making selections from counter food which is just not conducive to a weight loss surgery food plan.

glass of wine

After my weight loss surgery I drank only water and milk. That was all I could tolerate. It wasn’t for more then four years after surgery that I drank again.  Even then I wasn’t able to drink a lot and I did like how the one glass of wine adjusted my frazzled mommy mood.  What I found though was that when I drank, I ate things I wouldn’t have typically eaten. Not a good thing. Especially when you struggle with unconscious grazing.
