Port Day
We started our day very early. The earliest I’ve ever woken for a flight. And I’ve traveled a lot. We had a car to the airport and this was a treat since I’m always the driver because of the city girl I am. But today all I had to do was sit back ahhhhhh.

Once at airport we managed to get everyone through security including the expected full body search for my poor father in law that has two knee replacements. He’s so good about it. We wait patiently.

And we are through. TSA is certainly thorough.

Today is officially “Port” day. My colleagues grandson calls the day they go to to airport “Port” day and we’ve decide since we love to travel we will celebrate Port Day too.

We don’t look like we’re having fun do we? As many of you know this week was chuck full of doctors visits and medication for us. Both of which we try to minimize generally. But as my husband said yesterday we’ve used up our annually allotment in 5 days.
The flights were no problem and before we knew it we were waiting for the boat. We had about a thirty minute boat ride to the island. The salt air was awesome. Ryan was in his glory riding up high with the captain.

When we arrived at the island our greeting was spectacular. The island is amazing! We were able to get some real food after noshing on snacks all day. Then we hit the beach and pool. Nothing like night swimming. We’re all cleaned up, medicated and ready for bed. I’m exhausted I must say, but looking forward to my morning walk on the beach!
I’ll share some pictures of our room and the resort tomorrow. It is paradise! Thank you God for getting us here!
