One Small Change in 30 Days

The last thirty days have been very eye opening for me.  Just after the Christmas holiday I acquired symptoms that were very unusual and disturbing.  Head pain and a compromised eye.  Two body parts that you can’t do without.  Sorry to be silly, but I had to look on the bright side to get through this episode.  What has come to the forefront for me is that my health is of outmost importance to me.

Thirty days can change your life.  For me thirty days of headaches and pain brought on by a diagnosis of cluster headaches changed my life.

I was quickly reminded how fragile our lives are.  I was depilated by constant pain and exhaustion.

I was concerned to be alone.  One thing that I learned to value more than ever before was my Medical ID.

I’ve regularly used a Medical ID because I have food and drug allergies and because of my gastric bypass.  I wear it when I travel alone and run races.  But this past month when I felt on the verge of not being able to communicate for myself at a moments notice I relied on my Medical ID.

This past year I started a blogging relationship with Lauren’s Hope a pioneering Medical ID company.  Lauren’s Hope has changed the idea of Medical ID devices.  Bracelets, IDs, jewelry.  The ideas and options they provide are  so refreshing and attractive.  Easy to use everyday.

Today after finally feeling as if I was out of the storm of my Cluster Headache storm, I called Tara at Lauren’s Hope.  Just before the holiday season Tara had sent me one of their new “cuff” bracelets with my Medical details.

I LOVE this bracelet  it is so comfortable and I have been wearing it ever since!  I’ve been wanting to write about it but haven’t written much since my episode has been underway.

Today I called Tara.  To let her know I was OK and that I LOVED my bracelet.  That it has given me MUCH comfort knowing it would speak for me if I couldn’t.  And how I look forward to tell everyone about my fabulous cuff.

I’m not much of a promoter of goods, I mostly like to post about life and happenings but you see I’ve been drawn to Lauren’s Hope.  You see Tara and Lauren’s Hope is a company that cares about their customers and business partners.  Lauren’s Hope graciously gives all My Tiny Tank readers a 10% discount on any products you order from them.  Use the coupon code MyTinyTank10 and get your 10% off when you order online or by phone.  Now that is pure kindness and caring.

In the past year Tara and I have gotten to know each other and Tara  generously sponsored my 2013 Anniversary event this past year.  Not only did she provide me with a sport style Medical ID, but she gave one away to an event participant.  What FUN!

The reason why I’m writing about Lauren’s Hope today is that they are sponsoring a wonderful challenge starting February 1st.  I know that’s SATURDAY!  But I WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT it.  This challenge is easy to participate in and SIMPLE.  See HOW TO SIGN UP  for  Challenge HERE.

The Lauren’s Hope Health Challenge is very simple.  Change ONE THING for 30 days.  Change one thing that will improve your health.  You choose.  You change!

Here is Tara and a few of her colleagues for their BEFORE picture!

One Small Change in 30 Days.  That’s what the challenge is all about.  A group of staff members at Lauren’s Hope including Tara are setting off together in February to make positive changes in their lives.  How?  By making one small change each.
