If you’re like me I do most of my reading on my iPhone or iPad. News. Blogs. Emails. Websites that I frequent. Recently I was talking to a friend and she said “oh yeah I have you on my iPad home screen, I read your site everyday.” huh!?

what I eat

Just a quick blog tonight.  You may recall me blogging about this book once before. My boys gave it to me for my birthday this year after our visit to the Boston Museum of Science earlier that month.  We had seen an exhibit centered around the book. It was one of the most interesting food culture like presentations I had ever seen. All three of use were riveted by the content.

recipe book

Recently someone posted a favorite recipe book on Facebook.  It was a weight loss surgery specific recipe book.  I had been needing some recipe inspiration and in fact I have never purchased a cookbook specific to weight loss surgery.  So it got me thinking and browsing through Amazons pages of cookbooks and I was pleasantly surprised to find a bunch of nice choices!!  So I had a little splurge.

Diary of a Tiny Tank

diary of a wimpy kid

There’s been a lot of journaling in my house this year.  If you haven’t picked up the book or seen one of the movies about the series Diary of a Wimpy Kid you must have no contact with children.  My son has been obsessed with this series.  We have all the books and have even pre-ordered the up coming book due in November.  We’ve  seen both movies in the theater and now own them so they can be watched repeatedly. Sounds like nausium but in fact after I got over the horror of some of the brazen content in the series I realized that my son was dying to read these books.  How can you beat that?
