How’s That Working For You?

Written by my tiny tank on . Posted in Chronicles, Exercise Muse, Getting Honest

I have a video to share with you tonight.  This video is from a Lapband post op.  She has always been one of my exercise muse.  When I need a good kick in the Arch, then I line up a few videos of Banded Wendy on You Tube.  Wendy was one of the first post op weight loss surgery people I found on line.  She has a high standard for following the rules.

She has always been able to set me straight and remind me the importance of personal accountability.  One thing she has always asked in her videos is

bandedwendy Hows That Working For You?

“How’s that working for you?”

When I watch her, she is looking straight in my eyes.  And it hits home for me.  Getting honest with my eating has been an area of improvement that needs work.  I regularly use her question… how’s that working for you …. Tracy?  It helps me get honest and reminds me that personal accountability is what will get me to where I want to be.

This video will helps to get the point across.  Take a peek.

If you haven’t watched any YouTube videos of weight loss surgery post ops then Banded Wendy is the one to start with.  There are many others.

I love Wendy!! She leaves me feeling like there is nothing I can’t do. She does have high standards for herself. I have seen and heard people make fun of her “let it rain” comments and running marathons. I say it’s her YouTube channel and she can do with it what she wants to. Personally, I think she’s very inspiring. I would love to be able to run, like she does. But due to health reasons, that won’t be possible. However, I have purchased the workout beverage she uses from her (Body Effects), so I feel like I have Wendy beside me while I’m working out. Love your blog!!

Hi Julie. Thanks for your comment! Wendy is my “kick my Butt” vlogger. Her message about portion control and rules adherence is spot on I don’t care what anyone says. Sometimes I need me a little BandedWendy to get in gear.

Dixie. Support is more important than any of us know. We need to stick together, inspire each other. Support each other. Stick up for each other. Be accepting of each other!!! A big circle.

Hi- I’m a Wendy fan also, though sometimes she intimidates the hell out of me, too! I’m also a vlogger and 7.5 months post VSG. My channel name is MsDanaGerous. (I did a VR to Wendy’s video also. Found your post later. Kind of interesting to see what is stirring up in responses.).

I really like this question – I might just have to post it on my computer to remind myself when or if I hit wanting to do “bad” or “negative” behavior.

Hi Melissa. It’s the battle of our heads. We don’t see it we don’t want to see it. But we do. We have to call ourselves on it. How’s that working for you? Asking that scares the liar out of me. It’s a good question.
