I don’t have much left in me to tonight. Not because I did a lot today but because the time change tends to catch up on me. Great family day today. We got out and about. Into the city! I do love heading into the city. I was a city girl for many years and now I rub elbows with Chip n Dale and Bambi on a daily basis.

A Day in My Tiny Tank

I had a recent request for “A Day in My Tiny Tank” post.  Today is no better than any other day.  In fact it is a good day sense it is not a normal schedule for me.  My son has no school since the teachers have conferences and so I took the day off.  Mind you I am a very regimented eater on work days so today will be a real test.  If you know

Felt Better the Day After

I wanted to continue a topic I’ve been writing about.  I want to talk about Alcohol.  Last night was date night.  I looked forward to it all day.  I got a pedicure and picked out a new outfit.  We went to our favorite restaurant and in fact sat in the same booth that we did on our first date.  You can tell we are creatures of habit.  What was the difference this date night?

My Name is Tracy and I Don’t Drink Alcohol

Picture of Tracy on Date Night

Friday night was Date Night. We haven’t done that in a longtime. We were overdue. My son had his Karate Movie night and that opens up the evening for us to get out on our own. We are home bodies so we typically stay home and watch a movie ourselves. But recently we realized we need to get out more and have a “Date Night.” Needless to say I was delighted to get girlied up! The dressing up worked so well that when my husband saw me he immediately had to take a picture. And then we were headed to our favorite restaurant.

Dazzled by the Carbs. But Smarter than that.

On vacation. And not only on vacation but vacation with a food plan that offers three courses at each meal. That’s glutinous for a weight loss surgery patient. I’m tired of all the food. I’m ready to get back to my go to food like my chocolate banana smoothie and my salsa chicken when I get home. I have to say I’ve done well and would recommend the Disney Meal Plan because you have easy access to good protein choices like eggs, salmon, fillet. Without a meal plan you’d be making selections from counter food which is just not conducive to a weight loss surgery food plan.

Three Course Meal Fail

I’m exhausted tonight. But wanted to post some pictures from today. Specifically my failed three course meal.
We are at Disney World and we have a meal plan. Works well cause you get good food and better choices but there is no way in hell I can eat it all. Wish I could write more about how I’m feeling about tonight but I’ll have to save that for when I’m more awake. Needless to say I had course one and was done…

Choices. Some Good. Some Maverick.

Well vacation is here. We made it. We are settled in. Everyone is asleep and my legs ache from walking. A good ache. I love to walk. So a Disney vacation is right up my alley. I’m blogging from my iPhone but here’s a quick rundown of my day: early plane, bus to resort, lunch, check in to room, off to Epcot, few rides, back to resort, freshen up, small meltdown by 7 year old(I don’t blame him), dinner at resort, some music in hotel lobby, swim in pool, showers, light parade in lagoon with fireworks, 30 more minutes of new movie on iPad (Tangled)…..

Luxury of Being Out of Your Element

Less then 48 hours and counting and our family will be on vacation. I’ve been dreaming about how I will not have to prepare and or serve one meal and that I will be served three meals a day.  Ahhhhhh…  To be served.  A dreamy concept.  Not to mention NO DISHES! Getting out of my element is a way for me to recharge and I am so ready to be out of my element.

Out to Lunch

We managed to get my father in law’s birthday lunch in before Irene arrived in Boston. The plan was to take in lunch at Legal Harborside and then walk the waterfront.  We were able to do just that.  The view from the restaurant was great.  There was a slight breeze during lunch and it wasn’t cold at all.  The doors were open to the deck and the atmosphere was perfect.
