Yesterday I watched the Whistler disassemble his favorite scooter. Did I intervene? No. Why? Because I truly believe you need to figure things out yourself. You need to have a problem and a passion to fix it.  And if you do it yourself then you’ve GOT it!

My Meal cropped

As promised, I’m going to take you through my Thanksgiving menu. Yes it’s right I did not cook a turkey. By popular vote in my family, turkey was not the wanted beast for Thanksgiving. So what’s a girl to do? So for me food is not the draw of Thanksgiving. Now don’t get me wrong as a child Thanksgiving meant FOOD. And eating a lot of it. Now Thanksgiving means FOOD. And what I’m going to make for my family. I celebrate by cooking for my family exactly what they want!!

Our town cancelled Halloween due to Hurricane Sandy and the damage.  Wait.   They quickly rethought  this and decided to postpone until tonight.  Tonight was the night!  We finally went trick or treating.  Yahoo!  My son was bursting with energy and excitement.  All day he was anticipating the event.  Our plans were to go out with our neighbor friend and work the neighborhood closest to our house.  I can not tell you how many times I was asked today “what time is it?”   or “how long until we get to go trick or treating?”

Just a quick video blog today.  We made it through Hurricane Sandy with not much damage.  Lots of branches and leaves down.  My heart goes out to the those in NJ and NY.  I work with many people in Manhattan and Jersey City and they have been hammered by this storm.  You are all in my prayers.  I tried to get out for a run today.  The sun came out and by the time I got my kicks on it started to rain.  So I headed for the treadmill and kicked 5K.  That’s my number now.  5K and this is why.

Thanksgiving Thoughts

me tom 300x225 Thanksgiving ThoughtsAs promised I collected pictures from the day. I thought I was going to unplug and I do from time to time do that when my boys ask me too, but last night I was self inducing my planned unplug but when I woke up this morning and was zipping around the kitchen I couldn’t hold back from pounding a few tweets out on my Mac. So I just went for it!  I saw a few of you out there too!!  Here is a picture journal of my day…
