I have to give him credit.  He was persistent.  I was inspired.

I was working today from home.  I was setup at my kitchen table.  The rain was coming down in buckets.  I guess that’s what Spring brings us.  And I must admit the greenery that has sprung up in my yard in the past week has been worth it.  It’s a lush green paradise out there.

Measuring Yourself to Failure

Numbers

I’m a numbers girl. I’ve said it before. You’ve seen it. People at work come to me when they need numbers. Measuring can be a good thing. It can show us patterns and can help us correlate certain behaviors to certain results. But beware of the illusion of success when you obtain a number or the actual thrill of obtaining a number.

Believe in Yourself and Others Will Follow

Humility is not often seen in people these days. I don’t like saying that. But I’ve found it to be true. There is so much focus on proving one selves ability that we lose sight of our objective. When you seek the approval of others by trying to prove your way is best you actually move farther away from believing yourself. Because if you were content in yourself you could sit still and humbly contemplate your next kind move.

Walking vs. Running

Walking1

To be or not to be… that is the questions. oh yeah no, today I’m asking is it better to walk or run. I’ve always LOVED to walk. I love hiking and I could walk forever. When I was obese I avoided walking anywhere. Once on a cruise I was so out of shape I opted not to leave the ship at a port because I didn’t want to walk to the venues. I knew I need to change then.

i-love-boobies

Yes I had a mammogram today. Can you tell? I normally wouldn’t use the word Boobies. Even though I do live with a nine year old, it’s not a word I use regularly. But I was thinking this afternoon that since I like to write about something important each day, something that is on my mind, I decided to write about Boobies.

So many of you know that I like to prepare my own food and eat whole foods most of the time. I cook everyday for my family. It’s a large commitment and not easy for someone who really if I didn’t have to feed others would be quite boring in the food arena. I don’t know how others do it? Go through that first year after weight loss surgery cooking for a family.
